will a HU and a small amp die on 17+volts.

im sittin here playing with old equip in my room, probably making a big FAIL

but hey, i'm bored and ca.com starts to crap out around 2am and no work tomorrow.

the only power supply i have laying around with a non-needed end on it says 12volt but i just put a dmm on it and it says 17.,7ish.

whatya think.

Lol. well it's kind of a nicer HU but i could care less about the amp i was just going to use it to power my horns until i got my new amps in lol. and well the speaker. eh, i doubt anything will happen to it.

My HU lists 16v as max input voltage.

im sure the volts wont be at 17 once everything is hooked up to it and turned on. and if it does do anything it should just blow the fuse on the back of the deck or the inline fuse that some alpine decks have.
