I am ordering a 16Ov.2 tommrow but i still need an amp the sub is dual 4 and i need to give it a good amount of watts.

these are the amps i have looked at:

MA Audio-HD401sx

MA Audio-HD1000

Kenwood-9152D

i was thinking the 401SX of right now bout would anyone else have any suggestions i can get it for 230 shiped so if anyone else has any suggestions feel free to tell me thanks!

Just go ahead and order a Nine.1 when you purchase the 16Ov2. You'll get a 15% discount off the package deal from the ed website. The Nine.1 will blow away any of your listed choices, plus it comes with a 3 year transferrable warranty. Most ebay places don't give much of a warranty on stuff because they're not "authorized dealers".

Example:

16Ov2 by itsself will cost you $235 with free shipping.

16Ov2 plus the Nine.1 will cost you $497.25

You can break that down to $199.75 for the 16ov2, and $297.50 for the Nine.1

This is a savings of around $90 for both.

Unfortunately, only the dual 2 ohm versions are in stock, so you'd have to run it at either 4 ohm or 1 ohm. Given the choice, I'd run it at 1 ohm with gains adjusted via DMM to around 800 watts rms. or you could wait a couple weeks for the dual 4 ohm version to be in stock, then run the Nine.1 at 2 ohms, giving the sub close to 1000 watts rms.

see the thing is i have like 525 to spend on a sub a amp and a box and that right there is like almost 500 with out a box and boxes are expensive! so would u run the OV.2 in a ported or sealed box then?

order a Viper 1200.1 from ikesound.com, they are roughly $205 Shipped, and will give you about what the Nine.1 will give you, but it only has a three month warranty...

Well, I'd still suggest the Nine.1 and build your own box. Yes, it's slightly over your budget, but will be well worth it.

I've heard the SQ on a 16Ov2 ported is fantastic. Sealed will sound great too, it just depends on what you're looking for. For total SQ, I'd have to suggest sealed box. If you want that killer low end extension, with close to sealed SQ, then I'd suggest a ported box.

Maybe you and a friend can get enough tools and workspace together to build your own box??? Way better route than buying a pre-fab one. eD will build a custom ported box for around $160ish, but they've gotten so many orders for boxes that they aren't taking new ones till the existing orders are finished up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif .
