I just prchased one I hope it works out. I purchased the one that comes with the software so you don't have to use the volt meter. Just plug into your laptop or desktop. Of course you have to calibrate your soundcard with a volt meter once you load the software, but thats o.k I own a fluke true rms meter. I just thought you guys might want to know that the company does offer the sensor with a software package I bought mine for $216.70 with shipping to Hawaii. So the ease of use factor goes way up the program also comes with a rta that you don't have to buy seperate and it comes with an o-scope program to turn your sensor into an o-scope as well. I own a terrasonde meter that I purchased back in 2002 it was o.k it was about 3 db's less than the ac 180 only problem was that the terrasonde would fail i had to send it back to the factory 2 times already and this time the capsule for the mic is no good. so I said screw it and bought the makeitlouder.com one. Plus the **** terrasonde cost me $2000 and I was quoted $300 just to have the capsule in the mic head changed. To use the makeitlouder.com sensor with software you have to have a sound card in your cpu. It uses the input and output of your soundcard to interface with the software and the sensor. The company says it takes about a half an hour to get it all setup and once the soundcard is callibrated its all good. Hope this helps anyone thinking of purchasing it. Once I recieve it i'll let you all know I don't know anyone with a termlab, but my car posted a 155.3 with my current setup which is 2 15" storms in a ported box in the back of my civic hatch tuned at 30hz and 159.7 when I had my wall in there tuned to 50hz. Of course it was on an ac meter and not the termlab. I have the same box in there now that I had when I metered the 155.3 so once i setup the new meter thats on the way I can give you guys the numbers on the new meter. Aloha all, Don.
