1600RMS@1ohm rated mono amps?

As the title states, anyone know a good competition amps that are rated at 1600RMS@1ohm, I would prefer under-rated lol, more the merrier.

let me know. I was looking at a Hifonics BXI1606D, but havent heard wether they are good or trash yet.

you can get a used kicker 1200.1 they are usually underrated.

that hifonics is decent for the money also

I believe I guy posted on here that in both cases he had his HiFonics tested, it was overrated but did get 91% out of the rated power both times. (91% of 1600wrms = 1456wrms) That was @ 14.4v if I remember correctly.. search for it if you want to find out more..

I'll have to see if I can find any birth sheets out there, but yea, the price was making me a bit curious, guess I wouldent be supprised if it were over-rated. Either way, those 35.1's looked nice, just had a hard time finding any for sale.

my kx1200.1 tests at right around 1425ish @1ohm

You should be able to find a used US Amps MD2. Underrated, listed @ 1500 but does 1950 instead.

I second that! I got mine for $150 and you can find em in the classifieds for around $200. Best price/performance ratio IMO.

I dont think Hifonics come with a birthsheet, i have had 3 one from a trade on here but it was brand new sealed, brutus 1000, one from maxxsonic a brutus 2000 and a Colossus from maxxsonic and none had Birthsheets

I had a Brutus 1500, no birthsheet.

Oh yeah, do yourself a favor and get a GOOD amp. You will thank yourself later when you ask yourself, "Protect mode? What's that?"

for the money id go with the used us amps md2 for sure.....stay away from the hofonics, its decent for the money but ur better off with higher quality down the road.....thats a rule of thumb around here
