15s that will get loud in small ported or sealed

alright i want to try a pair of 15s. but don't have that much room to work with.so are there any 15s that will get loud in sealed or do not require allot of airspace ported. im looking for SPL. also how much cubic ft does a 15 usually need for a ported box? thanks guys.

how much room do you have? I ran a pair of 15" RL-P's in 5.6cubes net @ 32Hz and they did very well off a Sundown 1500D.

You might be better off with a single 15 in the proper sized ported enclosure though as I went to a single AQ HD315 off 2 1500D's and it was louder.

i have like 8 or 9 cubes before sub and port if i can get the box in my trunk lol. ill have to do subs up though. i may just go with some big 12s that can handle 1500 - 2k each. i was thinking two hdc3 12s. but wondering if they can handle 2k each.

I have run 15" BTL's and Mayhem's in 3 ft^3 tuned to 34 Hz. Sound awesome.

I kind of doubt you will fit a box much larger then 6cubes net into the trunk of a grand prix unless you build the box inside the trunk... that said you should be able to find plenty of 15's that will work in that amount of air...

my advice is to look for subs with a low FS and soft suspension...

ya man that was my plan. but im still in the plan stages. this weekend im going to take out the rear seats and do a mock up box and see what i can fit. i may just scrap the idea and go with 12s. maybe 2 hdc3 12s off two hifonics 2008s. does anyone know how much power the hdc3s with aluminum coils can take daily? the box i have in there now is 4 cubes after sub and port displacement and i still have 15 long to work with. so i could add 15x15x36 to the front of that box. so if i build a new box ill probably do it in two pieces and put it together in the trunk. i dont know im just pissed off that i got a trunk car. i wish i had an SUV so i could put a big box in there

your telling me, i've got a standard cab pickup, why couldn't I have just got an extended cab woulda made life easier, PLENTY of room for a box and still a small cabin volume = loud
