15inch ssd coil issue

as of now im working on a new set up. so i took my 1 month old 15inch ssd out of my car. its d-2 ohm, i have a issue where my box is way to big for the sub and along with the rated power i was burning up the coils a tad. so i said its time to take it out. i tested one side it read 1.8 ohms. i went to the other side and got no readings. i tryed othere subs all was fine. there is no coil rub iusse nor is there any signs that the coil is shot. the sub does not smell real bad . pretty much im asking y does one side only work?

ohea if i put speaker wires to the side with no reading it wont play. ifi put the wires on the other side the sub will play

you need a recone or sell the thing in the classified section. that is def a blown coil no fixin...

probley have better luck selling it here. might be able to get $80 shipped or seperate the coil and basket get more,depends...

Yup one side is shot, recone would be in order or you could build some sort of custom woofer.

Why if u knew the box was too big would u continue to give it the same power?? Just seems careless to me if u knew what was wrong.

i never really played it bro, i was taking it out and geting the box out as well.
