15in BTL in 3cubs @33Hz? will it be okay?

Go with the box, you'll be fine.

The box will peak higher than say, a 4 cubes box with the same layout, tuning, and port area. But in car, the transfer function helps out on the lower octaves a lot... and all cars peak differently.

Just do it.

for $30 try it out. if it works, sweet, u got a box for $30. if not, then it doesn't. still cheaper than buying wood, building a box and finding out it sucks...
Agreed!! Not to mention time too.

3.5 is about the min. But hey Ive heard them in 3 cubes and they where "ok".//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i originally wanted to do 3.5cubs @ 35hz. we'll see how this plays out. should get the box in about a week when him and i have time to meet.

well i dropped the sub into the box and it sounds okay, but not the best. i can tell it doesnt have enough room for some of the low notes. it peaks around 40-42Hz. The lows could be better and the higher notes are very peaky, too peaky.

I'm gonna try and see if mob's 3hp hybrid will perform better in this box, and then i'll also try out a memphis mojo and see how it hangs. In all honesty i should build a 4cub box for this guy... but i really wanna use this box.....

what subs perform well as daily drivers in 3cubs @33hz?
