159 Bass Racer - SounDigital and Mach 5

Was a nice show here in Winnipeg

Thanks to Saskatchewan folks that came.

A bit of info:

We didnt finish the car in time, so with the astro without any damping or decent doors (door panels allowing air to pass and etc) I decided to put only 8x 12" and one SD12kD.

I also forgot to seal the 2 openings on the extremes of the 6.5" steel tube (rounding of the wall), so now I realize that a lot of air actually escaped there, ehehehe.

At night we did mid 60's and in the morning I gained 1dB on the drivers door, but during the show I connected the subs at 2 ohms so we could play music all the day, was pretty funny. With the port like that the peak was 73Hz and the car was pretty loud lower than that on music (on ears), although we measure a diff of 10dB between 60 and 73Hz... I liked, the box is behaving exactly as designed.

That was good to bring more motivation, now we will finish the box and the car will still be legal for SS classes.

for you

kyle, you will need one hulluva electrical system to run them. i was running the SD3000 and it would cut out due to low voltage even with my truck running. what are your intensions bass race,dB drag or just want hard hitting mucic. its safe to say that switch from my MD3D to the SD3000 netted me about 3dB. i know you have a battery in the trunk already, but is it just a replacemnt type battery or is it a deep cycle etc...

What kind of numbers does it do at the lower frequencies? Like 30-45hz?

Thats insane though, mid 160s on 1 amp. And all those batteries for a single amplifier. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hey man!

Almost nothing, the BP was designed to have a very narrow transfer function, from 60Hz to 73 was a 10dB jump.

After making the other wall this will change, hehe.

Not a fan of high bass... make it do the same number @30hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
