157.4db...riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

He probably could have done a 157 with that. You guys do realize that is in an ext. cab S-10, right? It might be made up, yeah.It might be true, yeah. But everytime someone posts up a score, do we have to assume it's bull shit? There are honest people still alive on this earth. . . . . . .

i asked....

how many cubes is the box and what is tuned to?

How was the db reading measured and what was it measured with?

how many ohms are you running to the subs from the amps.

he responded.

hey, i am unsure the exact cubic ft. of the box. It was braced alot with 2x4s, so that messed up the air space a little.. the db reading was measured with a term-lab spl meter.. I am running a 2 ohm load from the amp.. If you have any more questions let me know!!!

Those are bad subs. I followed them when they first came out in '00/'01. They weren't that much money then. The 15s were $299.99. In '03 they jumped up in price.

Fusion has some REALLY, REALLY crappy entry level stuff, no doubt. This is the #3 model up. The top competition model has a green biohazard (schwingggg) on the dust cap, and its got 4 coils, 1 ohm each, 4" diameter. And they are REALLY nice.

hell yea man thanks for the find and 0 bids too!!!! hell yea this is definitely mine! im so glad he added the price sheet i was about to open a new window in IE and look it up on google or even better, froogle, but then i was like naw the prices are right here right in front of my face in the ebay acution itself how convenient!! hell yea im saving 3 thousand and something dollars thanks to this guy.. 1200 dollars for five-thousand dollars worth of equipment and 0 bids hell yea im bound to win this auction thanks again man!!! i hope no one bids on it.. im going to snipe it at the last minute and bid the 1200 dollars //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I knew a kid in high school who didn't know jack about car audio, but he had $$$, and basically told a car shop in town he wanted to compete, and although he didn't know jack, he dropped money at a real shop, and, while not in the 150's, he was high 140's without a drop of car audio knowledge.
He had a ford explorer, with three 15" L7's, each with their own battery and MA Audio 4000w amp. They obviously knew he didn't know crap, since he was running all 3 amps @ 14v, and @ 2 ohms, so he bought 3 4000w amps for ~1200w rms per sub.... But regardless, he hit good numbers.

As long as you have $$$, the only important knowledge you need is the location of a reputable shop, and to steer clear of best buy or circuit city.

It happens.
sad 2 say...i know folks like that.....my boy who dont know 2 much about car audio went to my friends shop and said he want it loud and my friend put 2 mojo 15's with an orion 2500 on each sub..and it sounds good but he clipps the hell out of them and he fries the coils easy
