1501bd enough for XXX?

Sup..I'm trying to decide on the amps i'm going to get for my 2 XXX 15"s. I was wondering if you think two of Rockford Fosgates 1501bd mono amps would be enough to power them. I know they can handle some power....Think that's enough?

hella yeah thats plenty of power, they will do about 1700 a piece with the right electrical system to back them up

Rele that's all? I heard of people putting 2000w daily to there XXX 15 on here....That's why I was a little concerned about the power, I guess it'll be plenty though.

I run 2200-2300 daily to my XXX 15", but the 1501bd will defenitely get it moving. Like someone earlier said, it puts out more than its rated power easily. Expect to get 1600-1700watts out of it, which should do pretty good with a XXX.

Ok cool...well I guess if it doesn't satisfy me I can always upgrade to a better amp. Do you think a 200a alternator and 2-3 batteries would be enough to power 3 of the amps?(I'm considering getting 3 XXX's instead)

are u planning on competing? or is this just for daily driving. Honestly man.....wait till u hear the 2 XXX's ur gona be blown away as it is. 1 XXX is more than enough for daily driving. 2....overkilll. 3.....i dont even wana say.lol.too much man.

Don't worry, it will be fine. The XXX needs about 800w to get it to sound good, so 1.5kw-ish is plenty. People CAN put 2kw+ to the sub and it will be fine, but you don't NEED it. Look into a Hifonics bx1500d, its about 290 shipped off ebay,good amp.

1500 is plenty. I can't understand how the XXX can handle all this power.

i'd say at least 2 to be safe......4 can run about 1500 but above that i'd go 2 or larger

Well that's pretty much what i'm looking for...I want to be blown away when I here it. Yea I plan on getting into some comps. this spring break, I don't think this will be enough to really compete...but i'll try just to see what I can reach. I'm probably going to go with 0 guage wire...because i'm going to have to run some pretty high watts for the mids and highs also. What position would be best to fire the subs? Straight up, or toward the back?
