1500W RMS - Power Wire

I've got a Polk PA500.4 - 500W RMS

Kenwood KAC-7204 - 500W RMS (2 Ohms)

Kenwood KAC-8104D - 500W RMS (2 Ohms)

Is it necessary to run 1/0 gauge wire from my battery to the d-block?

I originally ran 4 gauge, and I've had my amps turn off a couple times. Wondering if it could be the power wire gauge.

Anything over 1000w I'd run 1/0.

you can get away with 4 gauge, but 1/0 is preferable
