Okay my brother had a XFL 15 on the skar 1500 watt amp at 2 ohms who's getting like 930 Watts and blew after about a month okay so he sold that and he just bought a Type R 12 with a 800 watt skar amp and that blew and one week he just got a refund and we're basically just looking on Amazon trying to find out a different sub just because he wants it here in 2 days

Sounds to me like abuse... Were the gains set carefully? It sounds like to me that that XFL just got clipped to death.

And of course I recommend any sundown product that hits your power bracket.

get him a 4in coil sub to run on that 800w amp. something rated 2kwrms or more. he clearly abuses his equipment and has no idea how to set a gain.

Ok thanks alot so i always set my bass boost or watevers to 0 nd main gain to %75 nd pretty much every bass function or we on the headunit all the Way down

Ps he gas 8awg amp kit isnt that too small for his setup

Cuz i had a skar vvx 12 with knu 4 awg kit on a kicker 750.1 gains set like above nd it played great til i got rid of it

WAY too small. To put it in perspective, I use 8 awg to run from my amp to my speakers. Use 1/0 if at all possible

thats not how you set gains. Completely and uttery wrong.

Gain settings will be different for each setup because each head unit will have different pre out voltages. 75% gain is begging for a blown sub if the head unit pre out voltage is relatively high. You should learn how to set gains properly first before putting more subs to the chopping block.
@CSCStang has 3800 watts going to his two XFL 15s
