Official by whom? According to the specs I have, the only change in the original version was the 02's had a slightly higher Fs (33 vs 28).
Semantics anyway.

so there are officially 3 versions (considering there is no difference in v2 and v3 except the chrome plating according to the thread).

either way, i hate using the version idea, i have alway went by year. and my suggestion for box size was for the 04/05 version.

i would try to get in touch with audioholic. my experience is more so with the boxes ive built for my buddy and his xxx. i dont actually own the sub. i did listen to it for like 2 years or so when it was in a buddies explorer though, so i have some experience.

for a more SQ orientated answer, like i said earlier, i would try to get in contact with audioholic.

yeah i'd say try tuning in 33-35hz @ 4cu.

i've had mine in 4@30hz and it gets dirty low but lacks hard on the upper frequencies.

currently i'm at 5cu@30hz and it's a bit boomy over the 4cu box. still gets stupid low but lacks on the upper range.

4 cubes ported (15" right?), tuned anywhere from 28hz to 35hz depending on application. Im looking at 4 cubes per, and 30hz, for the boxes Im building soon for my pair of 05's.

Like I said, lean towards 28 to 30hz for SQ, go abit higher for more output. 35hz will still allow the system to get plenty low, if that's what you are leaning towards.

I still think those '04-'05 models, the ones with the dish cone, are **** sexy and I have never heard 1 bad thing about them, would love to have 1 or 2 of em, but I think I'm just gonna go for the new Mags instead.
