15" XXX Daily Driver

How many watts can I put up to the 15 XXX for a Daily Driver. At the moment I have it in a ported 5.2 cuft box with 2000watts going to it.

Depends... Do you know what you are really doing with that extra power? You already are reaching the mechanical limits of the driver with the situation.

I run ~3k to mine, it takes it really well, but if I tried to really abuse it I think I could get it to blow with that power. I would say leave it at 2k, you aren't going to gain enough output to justify the risk. If you need it louder, I say buy a second XXX.

wow 3K on a single XXX for a daily driver. If I had that much power, I would just run a dual XXX setup. I mean dual XXX's with the same as your single one would yield a much greater response.

Just like was said before, once you reach the mechanical limits you are wasting power and the driver is just trying to get rid of the extra heat at that point.

I agree, the only problem is that I don't have enough room to do that. Granted, I could switch to sealed, but thats a whole different story.

Yep, with that large of a box I doubt there would be much, if any extra output. you would more than likely just be shortening the life of the driver.

stick with 2k.
