hello, this is my first thread. i have been reading for a while about your sub opinions, but most are one sub vs another or two. i know car audio fairly well as i have been into systems for the last ten years, so feel free to get technical, as i will never have a question like how do i wire these subs to 1 ohm or other really noob questions. what i am looking for is a opinion on what 15"subs you prefer for a good blend of sq and spl. i was looking at a diamond d915, but the price is kinda steep, @400us. is there any other subs that are that class? i am looking for a dd sub that will still be loud, like 140ish db loud, but still maintain good quality sound, and those ever so nice lows.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/inlove.gif.6846f78f06b405429ef3a00129788a2a.gif thanks to all in advance for your posts. btw the sub will be in a ported box tuned low like 28-32 hz, with limited space, like net 2.75 cf,(after port, and sub displacement) with ample power as i will be purchasing a new amp to match the sub. if you need any more info about the setup let me know.

i was going to name a few 15s but with 2.75cu ft you are better off with a 12
it better to have enough airspace than to choke a bigger sub
RL-P 15 would be right at home with that amount of space...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

well the rl-p would save me some cash, but how does it perform in the loudness dept? in the mean time i'm gonna do some research on those subs in detail. also what is everyone feeding them in terms of everyday dd.?

just so i have an idea of actual power handling. thanks for the replys btw.

the RLp can get pretty loud in the right enclosure. I'm feeding my 15 RLp with ~1k watts in a 2.0 net sealed box, and it gets plenty loud for my taste.

but remember..."loud" is very subjective to the person hearing the sub.
