15" Subs?

What are some good subs (single) that are in the $200-$300 range like the RE SX 15" (on ebay) This will be my first sub and basically all im looking for is that its loud and can play reasonably well (pitch or sq w/e). But looking to spend around $600 for amp and sub, and i want to make my own box (if anyone has plans for ported). Im also wondering how to tune the box... I like the SX but i dont know theres probably others that are just as good that i dont know about... its just in all the SX videos on youtube it looks like its banging Alot..

I would go for the sx on ebay its only 270 shipped, but if you could go with an FI Q I would get that one i believe its 320 shipped with bp option.

i personally would go with audioque s.d 2.5 d4 15 inch sub 169 shipped.sounds great in 4 cubes with 64inches of port 16 inches long.amp,get a kicker zx750.1 off ebay from an authorized kicker dealer that sells refurbs for about 200,or get 1 from someone off this site and youll be good.spend the other 200 and change on wood and whatnot.or a set of door and dash speakers.
