Gettin ready to start on a new build. Will consist of:

15" Sundown Nightshade D2

Alphasonik 1000HCA

All 1/0

Exide Orbital Deep Cycle

Damplifier Pro will be installed on all doors and on hatch and on the floor from the back seats back. I have more for rest of truck but probably wont have time to get it all on at first.

I want to be able to put up some good numbers on the TL so what kind of design you got for me? Should I do a slot port or aero? About what size box and tuned to what?

Aero ftw..as for box size, 3 cubes seem to be what's optimal. Derrick might chime in, he knows his stuff when it comes to the 15" Nightshade.

yes, unless you want to really go SPL and screw the music, then you have to use a TL (or similar) and do some research

3ft net volume works well all around for the 15" NightShade. For a good daily/spl tuning I prefer 36hz. I highly recommend three 4" ports.

Yes. 1 Sundown NightShade 15" powered by a Sundown saz-1500d hitting 148.8s legal DbDrag style, sealed w/ the mic on the windshield. It'll do 150.5s outlaw/harcore style in the kick panel. It'll do 155s on the AudioControl meter at the Clash of Titans events. Yes, it's a daily setup that I also BassRace the 139.9 class with. Also in a direct swap to the prototype Sundown saz-2000d it hit a 149.5 legal.

Yes it is one of the original bone stock NightShades that were outsourced to a buildhouse. All current NightShades are custom built in house at Sundown Audio.

Can you design me a box derrick? Or recommend somebody? I will be giving it roughly 1500 watts

max measurements are going to be 24" seat to hatch x 44" side to side x 20" floor up... 20" keeps me below the window line so I would like to keep it there if i can.. What should I do as far as layout? sub up, port up? sub back, port back?

How do these numbers look...

10x16x38 with 3 4"x20" flared aeroports

Gives me about 3.5 cu ft^3 before ports, displacement, bracing

I'm thinking the best thing for you is a dual tune box. 3ft net volume with three 4" ports tuned to 42hz for spl then plug one port for daily which will be tuned to 34.5hz. The only problem I'm seeing off hand is your mounting depth. Let me do some calculations and sketchup something tonight.
