15" Fi Q vs 13w6v2 off JL 1000/1

So, about 4 months ago I reccommended to a buddy of mine to get an 15" Fi Q sealed off his JL 1000/1 amp

It sounded fairly good in his camaro, but in the interest of competition, I found him a mint 13w6v2 for 20 bucks less then what he paid for the Fi Q.

All I can say is the two drivers built in ideal sealed running off 1kw, the 13w6v2 rapes the Q, in every way.

I'm sorry to all of you who think Fi is the end to all, but listening to different songs and swaping the boxes out quite a few times, we all agree, the W6v2 is overall a much better driver.

Try this test...

Pick a sub, any sub from JLs lineup. Burp it with 5k watts. Now try that with a BTL.

Get back to me with the results.

Hmmm sounds like a huge argument coming soon. Something just isn't right, if it was a dub 7 You may have a good argument. But overall the Q should be louder, and the JL cleaner.

For the record, my argument is not for either company. I just think you are comparing apples to grapes.

We were testing a proverbial "frankenwoofer" a local builder put together for us. The coil was designed to handle 1000wrms. We burped into 4kw on it without issue. At 6kw things started stinking.
