Umm, I don't pay for food
Here is a box out of 7ply 3/4" Birch plywood I started building today. The specs are 4cu @ 32hz w/ 69" of port.

I used 4 braces to keep the walls from flexing. The ext dims are 30x30x14

The last thing I did tonight was spray the port with primer. Later tonight I will spray it with paint and tomorrow the top goes on.

Looking good.

Just curious would it make the box stronger by placing the brace perpendicular to the box, or would this be better to reduce flexing?

It makes the walls not flex, it is a brace that has worked for many people.

15 inches ported in a trunk car. Very nice. i'm trying to convince my friend to throw a 15 in his accord. I don't think it'll happen tho. Are yuo going to carpet this box?
Yes, I will carpet it eventually.

How did you brace the top/bottom panels since those are the biggest and most likely to flex?

Personally I would have done your side braces like a "T" so it ties into more of the top/bottom panels.

looks **** good.. 32hz on my 18 makes my car want to fall apart on lows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
