i wouldnt be surprised if your xxx has an FS value listed, that is after break in. so brand new, it would be higher.

i should probably ask scott over on their SSA forum. but this is what im suspecting.

where did i say that? and what are we even talking about? SQ? SPL? power handling? upper end response? low end? thats kind of a general question.

you talked trash about the HDC because of the FS which isnt an end all spec anyways. i gave you info that seems to be over looked a lot. then you said, well what do you do until it breaks in? and im saying IF the XXX (and most other subs) have specs listed with broken in suspensions, then you would do to the AQ, the same as you would do to the xxx...use it

i have extensive experience with the XXX, HDC (not as much as the others), Mag, etc etc...i have no bias. i think the XXX, hdc, and mag all do somethings better than one another.

ive heard both and a 40hz fs sub doesnt sound anything like sql to me.
its like a type R its the best thing since sliced bread now but everyone will get off them sooner or later and hop to the next loudest thing in thier head.

Thats a bad statement IMHO...I dont think that the hdc3 or the type R have much in common besides the fact they both like vented enclosures and they both have potential to get loud.

the hdc3 has a better SQ in my opinion and can handle much more than the R

I still think a FS of 28hz is pretty high.
I've never heard one and i'd never buy one either, but that's just me.

The OP shouldn't get one either, since even the Mag didn't satisfy him.

I know a lot of people low how the Mag sounds, but I've once traded an Idmax for a Mag and wished I didn't.

now now james, i did not say that it doesn't satisfy my SQ needs i was just curious about the AQ's cause i see a bazillion threads on them everytime i get on the forum.
