15" Alpine type R?

never tried the cvr's but i like mine, they get pretty loud, sq is good to me.

OP I would go with an SA-15 or something similar, they will be better than the type r and have a better build quality

Obsidian audio 15" are good.

For a mainstream sub the Type R's are great, they can get super loud in the right enclosure. I know a couple locals that have used one on occasion and loved them.
