Cleaning up last thread. Still have 1 brahma 15 left bought new last october used until february off of a crowl/jbl bpx2200. Used in a sealed box for daily listening. Barely used looks like brand new, never abused. Original box and packing. 300 obo. You can get shipping quotes from ups, box is 50 pounds and is about 18" x 18" x 18" from south bend Indiana 46637 to you. Probably 20 -45 in the us. 300 plus shipping. Pic ture installed in my tahoe. That box is available also if interested for $50. 1.5" thick 2 cubic feet per side sealed.

that is the only picture that I have. It is MKII bought brand new last october. Dual 2 ohm. I am not really looking for any trades. You will think this is a brand new sub, so scuffs , holes or dents. I am not looking for any trades as i am buying 2 sets of aura 5.25's and need the money for them.

well the sub can handle 4800 max and I never gave it that. It always sounded great, no distortion, no cracks or pops. My big alternator 2 extra batteries dual 4 guage wiring and a 15 farad cap kept plent of power to my crown/jbl bpx2200(no distortion). The crown amp features a clipping light to help you tune your system for no distortion. I usually did not listen to it that loud as my wife doesnt like it loud. Just to show off sometimes. I assure you it was never pushed even close to its limits.

I'm having such a hard time figuring out exactly what sub I want. If u still had both subs i would probably buy the pair, but I think I have to much power for one Brahma. I'll b watching this thread though, its a great deal.

1600*, looks like you were overpowering the sub like crazy, lol.

x2

yes those subs can handle sick amounts of power, but not ina sealed box they wont

from my experience with my XXX (which is almost the same **** woofer) and other high output woofers my friends have had, they dont liek large amounts of power in sealed boxes due to the fact they are compressing uncompressing compressing uncompressing air as they fire, as opposed to a ported box where the air is free to flow in and out of the box as it pounds putting less stress on the sub thus allowing more power to be taken.......

correct me if im wrong.....

It depends on the size of the sealed box, adire use to have a chart on thier page, I dont see it now. It showed that you could get full output from thier sub in a .5 cubic foot sealed box with lots of power dont remember exact so for example 2400 rms or a huge sealed box 9 cubic foot with only 200rms. my box was rather small and let the subs accept more power.

also many people use larger amps than they need, they just know how to safely adjust the settings and volume. In the magazine Mobile entertainment (Sub test drives) Tom Nousaine uses a crown macro tech 5000vz (5000 watts rms) on every sub he tests whether they can handle 5000 or 500. I have never read a review that he fried the sub, he might not put it in the magazine if he did though.

I bought the other one- it was in pristine condition and looked like it was never installed.

If you don't seel her Chad I'll pick it up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
