Sold 15" AA Avalanche

Recommended sealed box size with a Q of .577 is 4.0 cuft with about 500 watts, the recommended box with a Q of .707 is 2.2 cuft with 800+ watts, or .800 and 1.5 cuft with the same power. Chad usually recommends around 3.0 cuft tuned around 24 Hz for a ported box with 800+ watts.

I'm running mine in 2.2 cubes at 32 Hz, and I put it in my brother's box which is 3.2 cubes tuned to 33-34ish Hz. Both boxes sound great, though I would deffinately reccomend the slightly larger.

When I spoke to chad about this, for in car use he generally reccomends between 3 - 3.5 cubes NET, tuned somewhere in the low 30's. It is a shame IMHO to tune this higher because the low notes are absolutely amazing on it, very rich.

As far as power...it is extremely efficient. My brother is running a DEI 1100d in his car, and when we hooked it up at 4 ohms (approx 400 watts or so) it was nearly as loud to the ear, as his SX with the full 1100 to give a reference point. Doesn't get much louder through my experience with the addition of wattage though from 500 or so up...which is both a good thing, and I suppose bad.

fb4076: I would like to get rid of it ASAP, but if I still have this when you have the money you can have it first.

PRIVATEpastry: Sorry, I already have an Alpine 9831. The only head unit trades I would be looking for would be an in dash screen.

BoominBeast: Where are you located? We might be able to work somethin out.
