15" AA Arsenal vs. 15" SI Mag

Salisbury is a LONG way from Hagerstown. It's way out on the eastern shore, close to Ocean City. I'm not even there anymore, I'm back down in NC. But, I might be moving to Bowie, MD fairly soon. I have an opportunity to make A LOT more $$$.

"Yeah, I know, the Mag is better, but is it worth 2x the money? "

Thats what i was thinking too 12inch MAG $450 and a FIQ for $250 almost half the price as the MAG.

There is a saying " you get what you pay for"

right not its 50/50 for me.

So, are all the Arsenals the same sub with just a different basket and cone? Looks to me that they are...I have a hard time believing that a motor, VC, and magnet designed to power a 10-12" sub can power a 15" cone with the same efficiency and response...
no.

the 10" has a motor for itself.

the 12" and 15" have the same motor.

sorry, i was thinking of the assassin when i said it wasn't in the same league. i dont know how the arsenal would compare, but i know the old avalanches slam, and apparently the arsenal is better.

I'm so torn right now. Mag, Q, or Arsenal...

I honestly think any of the above would suit my needs, I'm just so afraid that I've gotten my heart so set on the Mag that I wouldn't be happy with one of the other two just because of bias. Blah... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Surely somebody out there wants to sell a used 15" Mag:greedy:

One thing I can assure you of for sure is....Get a Mag you will not be dissapointed!!! I promise you that. If what you truly want is a mag your probably won't be happy until you get one...(At least that is how I am). I had a 15" Mag, I also owned a 15"XXX (05), and a 13W7 (to name the 2 that came closest to the mag). And I can honestly say the 15" Mag is the best sub I have ever owned! Period....I can say that they ARE worth the money. I don't care what anyone says!

i say get the FIQ, its almost half the price.

IMO, the mag is not worth 2x the price of an arsenal. That's the difference between dealer direct and having a middle man, albeit an online one. The money you save on your sub can be used to get a better amp, or deadening, anything. You don't seem like a huge basshead and seem to be the type who's looking for a somewhat balanced stereo, using high quality gear. I'd say the arsenal is a bit more realistic, choice, but that's just me. If you really don't think you could live with yourself then get the mag, but you could buy and sell an arsenal pretty easily, if you even felt the need to.

, the q almost kept up with the mag in sq and owned it almost across the board in spl....
Show me. A few dB on drop in, though a decent test, is not completely pwning it across the board.

Im not defending the Mag nor am I refuteing the Q, I'm saying you dont know what you are talking about. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
