15 or 18 with great SQ, but still gets loud?

I need some opinions/suggestions...I'm in the market for a 15 or 18 with good SQL, as I listen to alot of alternative metal, classic rock, and rap. I was kind of looking at the BTL, but I'm not sure how their SQ is for being labled as a SPL woofer.

All suggestions are welcome, and my price range is about $700 total for sub and an amp.

700 for sub an amp huh, well errr

maybe you could find a used 9515, HD3, Destroyer, or XXX for cheap and get a power bass 3000 watt amp or something idk, why not save some more so you can buy reliable new equipment

700 bucks for an amp and sub isn't too shabby if he's willing to buy used. I got an AA avalanche and a arc 1500xxk for less than that, both bnib, albeit no warrantee.
