15' or 18' and subwoofer recomandtions

first problem is space.

I have 6cf for speaker and 2,1cf for port, in case of an 18' sub.

in case i have an 15' sub, i can create optim box.

What is the best solution? The 18' sub with 6cf compact or 15' sub with optim box?

At Re-audio site i saw it can be made compact box for sx18 at 5.5cf at 35Hz. What does it means compact? How doess it work?

I have 400$ (budget for buy a subwoofer)

ive been looking/shopping for a nice big SQL subwoofer who can sing music at low frecv. I`m interested to hit low (28-30Hz). I listen rap - dub step music, my car is 4 door hatchback. HU is alpine 9831, amplifier will be HFi2000D.

Someone recommended me:

TC Sounds LMS-R 15

SSA XCON 15 or 18

FI BTL-(but it-s a bigger price)

I`m from europe and i want to buy it from USA. I also want your recommendations to buy best solution.

i didnt know they made 15 foot and 18 foot subs, where can i find one?

also, you can get a BTL 18 for around 400 used, personally in your car i would run a 15" Btl if it were me. when your building a box, you may have room for 5cuft in your trunk, but after port and sub woofer displacement you may come out more around 4cuft.

my btl is in a 9 cuft box, but after port displacement, and sub displacement and it comes out @ 7.7 cubes.

and with all this new equipement your going to need to run atleast 1 run of 1/0 wire, A HO alternator, and maybe a second battery.

I know FI BTL is a good solution but I'm from europe and i can buy only new subwoofer of US, because i see when it comes home.

i have 0awg cable and second battery.

in my trunk i can create a box with external dimensions: 28x16x40 inches. It means 9.8cuft. I have 0.8' wall thickness and remain 8cf Vb for speaker. In this case i have 5.5-6cuft for speaker and 1.5-2cuft for port.

I know for one 18' sub i need 7cuft , but my question is: I can create a box with 5.5-6cuft ? I can tuning it at 30Hz and works properly ?

(If not i buy 15' and i create optimal box)

any recommendation, advice is welcome

i would go with the 15" btl if it were me. and later you can always recone to an 18 pretty easily if you got a new car with more trunk space etc.
