15 Mofo

like how reliable? lol sorry but i just dont want to waste any money on crap that wont last along time i want to get pretty good stuff an im just going for spl no sq an there price is really good on the mofo

what do you mean by reliable? Hard to rate reliability without a baseline. I run memphis subs and have yet to have a problem with em, and havent heard anyone having a problem with a memphis sub or amp.

Well, as with any sub, the more power you give them over their rated power, reliability goes down.

So, if you want a sub to last a long time, give it the recommended power. And from waht I hear, MOFO's can take a little more. SPL designed sub...

What the hey, give it a whirl. Id personally take a used 15" L7 over it though.

yeah memphis subs are good at taking more than the RMS. I have 2 PRs and run 600 watts to em thats 100 more than RMS and the cone is nowhere near maximum excursion.

It's been my experience with lesser Power Acoustik subs that they can indeed take a lot of power, even if it's clipped. The MOFO is probably no different. However I've been told both efficiency and SQ are pitiful at best. =\

I have been running a mofo off and on for almost a year now, never had any problems with it and have been sending it 1400 rms at all times, the SQ on it is half way decent for an SPL sub, it shines on 35-45 hz, but doesn't pick up much on high bass notes, great bang for the buck IMO.
