15 Magnum D2 Prototype, I got it

a single 15" Magnum ported would destroy Type R's. it would work perfect off a pg tantrum 1200.1

yeah thats what i thought i could have a box of around 4-5 maybe 6 cubes for the mag and i would tune it to like 30 hertz, but what would be a good volume?

I have yet to hear a Mag, but with the astonishingly low distortion output from the xbl^2 enabled XXX and Brahma, Id be very surprised if the Mag topped either of them in the SQ department. Evem Richard Clark, who has tested hundreds of subs, says the Brahma is possibly the best sounding subwoofer he's ever heard.

Yes, I know this is an old forum, sit down. It's the only thread out there that really deals with reviews of the magnum from actual owners.

I'm thinking of buying one of these uber subs, like the XXX or Brahma. What other subs do people consider in this "class" for a 15"? I know the W7 would be one, but that may be stretching my budget. I can't think of any other subs in this class, but maybe the D2 is? The XXX is xbl^2 yes. I consider the XXX, Brahma and W7 the three premier SQL subs made today.

as i said before, the magnum was better in SQ IMO. and i am definetly not biased. both were in ported enclosures.

Yes, I saw it the first time. Ive heard opinions both ways. I need to hear a mag and decide for myself, because the specs favor the XXX.
