not necassarily. I was looking at those two because I have read where alot of people like running them on their RE subs. and they are at a good price.

sure. avionixx, tsunami, ppi art, xtant, soundstream, tru, arc. all extremely high quality amps but might cost a little more $.

do you think that a 15 will be well suited for rap music because i have seen many people describe the sub as "punchy" which seems better for rock and other music

OK, I am really interested in these Magnum subs because they seem to be an incredible sub for an incredible price. Has anyone else obtained one of these subs since the last post date? How are you liking it?

from what ive heard people say about them, they are nasty pieces of ***.

my choice of subs (if i could buy with as much $$ i wanted) would be;

1. 15 mag (si)

2. 15 brahma (adire)

3. 15 XXX (re)

4. 15 DP (ia)

basically those 4 brands in that order - i really want a mag, and i also want a dodge mag... have a pair of 15 mags in the back of a mag. mmmmm...

if you can find this sub- go for it, im sure you will be as happy as anyone on this forum.

my friend just got his 15" xxx in. i know its not a fair comparison but hey, ill compare it to that sub when he gets it hooked up. anyways, im with bavarian on this one.

i ran a SI15 for a couple months, and i loved that thing. loved it so much i have actually been contemplating trading two of my claw 12"s for two of the 15"s. absolutly great woofers, they wang low, they wang hard, and they wang tight. in a box that was not matched to my car or the sub i posted a 141.1 with the single 15 and a single amp. that score was legal placement with a termlab mic, and left MUCH room for improvement. definitly a great woofer.

XXX/brahmas can get sickening loud, especially the 15", but in my opinion the SQ on the magnum is better and more accurate.

dan: yea, its not a fair comparison really because imo you have to compare 12 to 12 that have specs that are close to each other. xxx has the displacement advantage and all that good stuff but im not gonna compare just who get louder cause im already sure the 15" will win but i am going for the all around package. spl and sq. if one has a better combo, then imo even if its not the loudest thing ever its still a better sub imo.

i am also considering a 15" magnum right now or a XXX i have two alpine type R 12"s powered by a phoenix gold 1200.1. how would the magnum compare to the alpines? if powered by the same amp?

oh and also how much does a 15" magnum weigh?

a single 15" Magnum ported would destroy Type R's. it would work perfect off a pg tantrum 1200.1
