yes, well 650 rms, but that as everybody knows is EXTREMELY conservative. There are plenty of people sending 1500 watts at a 12'' D2 all day it has no problem. I wouldn't go much more than 1500 on either the 15'' or the 12'' though just for safety sake. but you do what you please. I'm far from the expert to tell you what they can handle.

The recommend 600 but they can take more its just most people will have enough with 600rms a peice for each but i think they can handle around 1200 rms each daily. All depends on what u wanna do .

the box scott did is probably in the neighborhood of 3 cubes tuned to high forties. Thats what i like about the subs, is that they can be whatever you want them to be depending on the install. Not many subs can be a powerhouse like that in both catergories.

no... he built a wall, 12cf with some 300sq in of port... dunno tuning. this is just what i read over at SiN.

Yep, it was in a wall with a BIG port. But with only 1200 watts, that's still a darned good score with a single "600 watt" sub.

Hey DJ I've heard the sub in person in a 2.5cf ported box tuned to 32 and it sounded great. IMO it had more spl than the brahma and xxx.

I am still struggling between the Mag D2 and the XXX. I am in it more for SQ than SPL, I know both can get extremely loud so that is not my main objective. The SQ is what I am more interested in. any more comments???

I know this has been talked about alot, just need some more input.

this is probably dumb, but is the mag 1ohm capable? with 1000rms?

yes it is a dual 2 ohm sub..which wires to 1 ohm, and is very capable of 1000 RMS
