15 Kicker L7, Question

5 cubes? stick to recommended, if you don't have the space for it run a 12 or multiple 10's or something.

everyone will tell you a smaller sub in a proper enclosure will sound way better and get louder than a big sub in an enclosure thats too small.

why stick to recomeneded?

alpine recomened a 1.5" thick port for a 15",//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

If we all followed the rules, we'd be trying l7's in sealed boxes.

Stick to recommended for the exact reason he said - larger sub will sound worse in a small box than a small sub in a small box. SQL and SPL wise.

We're talking about Kicker - not alpine, btw.

Min ported is 3 cubes, sealed, 1.5. Stay above those - and the bigger the better.
