15 in. sub and box

Hey everyone, I just joined this website today and i was wondering what 15 inch sub you would recommend for a 1200 rms at 1 ohm amp, in a 96 ford explorer, with around a 200-250 price tag. I like it to get loud, but also with some quality in there. I love the deep lows, and i listen to mostly rap. thanks

A quality sub with that kinda power handlin n price range gon prolly hve to b used. Can get used L7 off craigslist tho...just make sho the sub u got has dual2ohm coils. Prolly a few better subs on here tho just have to look around...

What do you think of the RE Audio SXx 15? i saw it on sonicelectronix for around 275..also do you know why i wouldnt be able to post in the WTB forum? i tried posting a similar thread there and each time i did it told me it wasnt allowed because of too many links (I had none) or forbidden words?? sorry if this is a dumb question lol

Waz going to recommend that sub but didnt kno ur absolute budget. I say get it..they got solid subs. Jus irdered me a se today.

prolly because you just joined,try tomorrow.the re sub isnt as good as they used to be .i can put you into a sub , but it will be new and cost more than 250

okay thanks. I'd love to get a DC but my problem is that altogether i have about 350-400 bucks max for a 15' and box. So i'd have a great sub but no way to hear it lol. yeah so far its looking like the SX

Yea but their solid subs...and affordable. 360 and u basically can get any sub u want...u open up ur options alot more.

What good would it be to have a beautiful sub if it's going to bust the box apart?

If you're good with tools, go for it. If not, find someone reasonable to build it for you. lol

Get a used mtx 9500 if i can find one...with d2 coils. Will out shine any other in that price range. Owned a lot Of single 15s...se sx 9500 lvl3 dmx massive cw to name a few.

Yep, bought a 1200 hifonics brutus amp. currently i have two crappy sony xplods (i know lol) in a ported box so im thinking at this point anything will be an upgrade..haha
