Ok, i have a 1996 ford explorer. I have the stock alt, but big 3 is done. I have a red top under the hood, and a yellow top batt in the back. I do plan on upgrading my alt, but i want to know if this setup will stay at a cont 14 volt current. If not, what is my next step?? I was planning on running 2 15's with visonik 4000d amp, not lookin for all 4000 out of the amp, just around 2500. Let me know what you think!!! Thanks

With my setup in my sig and a H/O alt, if its at night with all lights on and the right song it will still drop down to near battery voltage at idle (500 rpm). If I take it up to 1000 rpm it jumps right back to 14. I'm running right around 2100 rms right now.
