14 awg ok for solobaric?

ALOT of things factor into what gauge wire you use and ALOT of people don't realize that. I you are running the wire 2 or feet or so from the amp to the sub that is fine if over two or maybe 3 feet then I would drop down to 12awg

Run 4g for power (or 1/0 if you can). There is no downside to bigger wire, and you won't have to replace it if (when) you go bigger. Speaker wire...
