13w7 vs. HCCA15

If a person was looking for SPL and rediculous lows in an infinite baffle design (or possibly a giant sealed box), which pair of subwoofers would outperform the other?

JL Audio's 13w7-D1.5

JL Audio 13W7 Subwoofers - Car Audio Subwoofers

or

Orion's HCCA-15.2

Orion® Car Audio - HCCA152 - HCCA

Any input is greatly appriciated as I don't know as much about car audio as I wish I did.

Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Out of those two, HCCA, but if you are looking for ridiculous lows in a large sealed box, how about an RE XXX?
Will one of those run the same price as an HCCA or a W7?

Edit:

It looks like it sure would!

HCCA hands down. How low are you talking (frequency wise)?
Like I said, I don't know as much about car audio as I would like to, and I don't know anything about frequencies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Pretty much I just want it to move so much air that you can feel your ear dumbs moving in and out, and I want it to sound like you're standing under a helicopter.

you have much to learn young padawan
x2 on that. If you want to go and loud you would more than likely want a ported box. Do you have any songs in mind that you'd like to be loud on?

I don't want ported and I don't want loud either, I want low, hard bass that will vibrate my car apart.

I've noticed that ported boxes are usually louder, but sealed are usually more boomy and produce more vibrations.

A couple songs that I would LOVE to be able to play are..

Ludacris - My Chick

Dorrough - Trunk Bang

Both of those have the lowest lows I have ever heard.

More songs that I want to play..

C Murder - Yall Heard Me

Jibbs - King Kong

T.I. - Let My Beat Pound

Andra Nickatina - Killa Whale

I like the low, real bass more than I like loud bass that just sounds ******.

Trust me, you want ported.

do you want something like this. lows like these?

I guess I've just never heard a real system before :/

I own the loudest system I've ever heard and I have spend only a grand on everything for it..

From my experiences, ports distort the music since you can heard the air moving and aren't as great for sound quality.

But half of the SUVs and vans that have 10k+ watts worth of woofers have sealed, and half have ported for idk what to do =(

I also like the idea of an infinite baffel, or at least that kind of design with a fat port in between the two subs (if I absolutely have to have a port..)

reason why 10000 rms systems go sealed is because you can throw more power at the subs that way to get louder, as a sealed box is less effecient, on the same power and sub etc a ported box will always be louder and lower. the fs on sealed are typ in the 40's where ported you can tune down to love 30's

High wattage systems do NOT run sealed. At tuning you can dump ridiculous power into a ported system. Above tuning it handles power very similarly to a sealed setup. Below tuning is where it gets ugly. If you tune low enough, below tuning isn't much of an issue.

OP-the reason that you've heard noise from the ported boxes you've listened to are that they were poorly designed for high output. The ports were undersized and that causes compression which causes noise. A low tuned box with a properly sized port will uttery destroy the lows and with the right sub sound fantastic doing it.
