13W7 vs DD9912

Just bought some DD's and I can't wait to put them in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My friend's DD 9515 pounds pretty hard on lows. That I have heard first hand.

The JL is no match

Thanks, we don't have DD much in Canada so have't heard them first hand.
Serious though. JL is a brand based around sound quality first. They can have good out put on low power but nothing like what other subs are capable of. With DD you still get a lot of sound quality with your loud as he ll.

Is there anything that would hit me in the chest harder than a 9912 that's 12"? (NOT INCLUDING DDZ, i know you are gonna say that DDtC!!!). Again I realize its hard to say 10% equipment, 90% install..

Lots of 12s will work great on a DC3.5k.

AQ/SQ HDC3/4, SD Nightshades, Tantric SHD or HDD, DC LVL4xl/LVL5...

but no where in that list is the w7

W7 is a joke imo. Output Is lacking sq ***** imo only jl product I would use is the w6 now that is a great sounding sub. But to answer the question I would do the 9900 or hdc4 12

Funny, I saw a pair of W7's on 2400W today doing 150.3 in a musical install. They're plenty capable, but I'd agree that the 99XX DD would be a far better choice for a single sub on 3K

We have a local guy doing 149.9 at the headrest on a pair of 13s. They can put out

What kind of budget? On that power I doubt you'll beat the 9512 though.
