There's a guy on Team Tantric. He has a loud ass wall build. He runs all PA stuff. I sat in it the other day... all I could hear was the near side super tweeter. I got out after like 10 seconds. I couldn't take it anymore.

I've actually ordered a set of PA mids to test. I can't fit much in the new car but I'll see what's up with these 8's. I may try to do an "SQ" PA setup in the CRX for shits and giggles.

IMO overly bright tweeters are the worst part of PA or normal set ups. Super tweeters do NOT have to sound like that. Don't overpower them, do a little EQ work and they can sound very good.

Oh, I have no doubt that PA *can* sound good. Just that the overwhelming majority of PA users don't GAF. Or maybe head splitting, ear bleeding, piercing, shouty, midrangey, ice cream truck sounding fronts sounds good to them. I dunno.
