130 amp alt. enough

Im going to be buying an alternator on thursday. Im wondering if I could get by with a 130 amp one; if not a 200 amp. I will be pushing a total of ~2000w rms. 600 rms a sub (3 subs) and 75-100w rms for each pair of speakers.

I'd go with the 200 amp alternator if you can afford it. I was running about 2000 watts from my 135 amp alternator and it went decent, but I did get some dimming. When it comes to alternators, bigger is always better.

Alright. Sounds good. I can afford the 200 amp its just that the 130 is about 100 cheaper. Thats if the alternators from mr.alternator are good...Would anyone know by chance?

The 200 amp one from mr.alternator is $225 while autozone has a 130amp for $120 with $45 core.

For $100 more get the 200 amp.
