I have 6 w6 12" jl's now, I was thinking of putt (3) 13" w7's in my h2 in a sealed box...

or would I be better off running 2 in a ported box?

or even how is the new w6 compared to the w7?

any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Im trying to figuer out what direction I want to go to get some HARD HITTING BASS.

my lil Blazer is nutts with its 6 w6's in a sealed box,3 and 3 are seperated air space running in series,

each 3 running off the old fosgate 800's "two 800's"

im trying to pass that up.

with less speakers.

thanks for your time.

Three sealed would be louder than two ported. W6v2s are known to have better sound quality that W7s, but the Dub 7s will get well louder.

But powering three W7s will be a beast on your electrical system.

i would go and listen to the new w7 for yourself..3 13w7s might be overkill most 3 12's might be ok but the most i would want is 2 12's plus its gonna cost you an arm and a leg..why not go with another company thats not so pricey.. i might suggest the XXX by RE..jus my 2 cents

X2 on the listening to them for yourself.

If all you want is SPL, why not a pair of MT's or something similiar?

Man i don't care what these people say, if you find a good deal on a pair of 13 W7's you will not be upset. 2 13's are probably louder than one 12. I had one 12 and my 13 now is a lot louder than my 12 was, even with the same amp.

obviously 13 > 12

I never heard of these?

and yes Im looking for that stupid bass where you feel it in you throat,

thats how my 6 w6's feel,

Im hooking up my hummer h2 now, that is what these questions are actually for.

I have the orion 2500 in with 3 w6.s in a sealed box and its koo, but I want much harder bass.

I had 2 of the new 15" orions and blew them out ,I wasnt getting the bass I wanted either,I was running a 2500 ample, the amples really push.

all my mid and highs are lovely, and I just updated from the kenwood 7015 to the 8017. the truck is really shoe Ill get some pics up, 24" bellagio deep dish floaters, 7 tvs, xbox 360,etc..

Im trying to get in a magazine.

"just so you know what im trying to do"

I read in one these answers it might be overkill?

thanks actually my question? you think there will be a noticable difference between 2 w7"s or 3? "running in series" in a sealed box?

thanks again for all you input.

I appreciate it.

why all jl audio???? look into other brands of subs if u want spl...maybe a couple mts or even sx's...theres plenty of other brands too..digital designs, stereo integrity, incriminator audio, just search around...the w7s just dont cut in imo when it comes to spl..even tho they can get decently loud... acouple MT's would just rip your head off..

your saying running them in series rather than one off each channel is no difference???

the ample 2500..

or should I go one ample the each woofer and just put 2?

in other words would it be better to run them in series off one amp or a amp with each woofer?
