Power handling would go to poop and the output in the 30-50 hz range would go right along with it. Also wouldn't be infinte baffle, just a really big sealed box, but similar results.
Most prefer the extra output in the region where there is recorded content though. IB is nice, but reasonable tuning is more practical in the car most of the time.
In the car I will totally agree. In home where the sub may be used on movies as well, I have become a big fan of IB. For one reason most IBs in cars are compromises of a true IB. I just need some output for certain genres and since I don't watch movies in my car I don't absolutely need good output below 25hz
the SQ is amazing. Im just pissed that my roof rattles so much. I need to dynamat it. Then i will have clean bass. It does about 143's on the TL with only 900 per sub when each sub could easily take 2000.
