Hey all, i just wanted your opinions as to wheater or not a 13w7 and 12w7 could be used in one system while runing under one 1000/1. I would like more bass w/o having to purchase another amp which could mean needing to change the alternator and lead to a very expensive project. So I want to know If you guys think these two subs could play together or do you think the amp is too weak or that the 12 would max out far too early. (I do have a line driver to help feed some extra current) Thankz 4 ur time

yeah i thought i could power a 13w7 and a lower version of the w7 series better then i could a pair of 13's as i want to remain running a single 1000/1 amp

I wouldn't recommend combining a 13w7 with a 12w7. Use one or the other.

The 13w7 handles more power than the 12w7, but it's also more efficient. People commonly, and mistakenly, think that a smaller driver is more power efficient than a large one of the same series. This is rarely, if ever, the case.

As soon as you add another sub to the mix you are still taking power away from the 13. Two of the 13's will SOUND better off the single amp than mixed sizes. A general rule is that you do not want 2 speakers of different sizes playing the same freqs. You can add another 13 and be fine.
