Okay My dad and I have cut all the sides of my enclosre for my 12w7(diidnt buy yet) running off a jbl 1200.1. My first question is, is 3/4 inch thick wood good enough? I was talking to a guy at tweeter and he said the front peice should be 3 inches thick. Is this necessary? Also, will i need bracing or anything for this box? Lastly, can you tell how to wire the subs to get a 3 ohm load. Do i put the pos. on the one connector and the neg. on the other? thanks alot for the help.

Just wire + from sub to + from amp and - from sub to - from amp. The 12W7 is a single voice coil with a 3ohm load...

The JBL1200.1 should be giving that sub about 1,050watts, just about perfect for that sub...

Please check out JL's enclosure specs... http://www.jlaudio.com

The face of the box should NOT be 3" thick like the salesmen at tweeter mentioned, but 1.5" (two 3/4" sheets stacked)

Put it in 1.85 cubic feet sealed, build it solid and take your time, and minimal bracing should be needed.

**** okay....i wish i knew that b4 i cut all the peices...now the dimensions are gonna be all off by 3/4 when i add teh second peice. Do you think it will matter if its 3/4 smaller depth wize or should redo teh whole thing...thanks
