12w6v2 sealed or ported?

Sorry guys I tried a search & all I get is a data base error

So what is the best fit for this sub? I listen to mostly rock & acoustic stuff, but like the efficiency of ported boxes.

i ran one for a while ported. ported boxes can have a nice, flat responce if you tune them lower in general.

mine was about 1.6cuft tuned to 33hz and it sounded very nice imo.

sealed will be louder with that sub, but if you went sealed would built a larger box then recommended from JL.

A passive radiator will give you best of both worlds.

JL's recommended enclosure volumes are spot on.

I've tried:

1 ft^3 (tight/punchy, little bottom end)

1.75 ft^3 (loose/boomy, little top end)

2 ft^3 @ 32 Hz (moved more air, but SQ took a big hit)

For my next box I'd like to see how it does in 1.5 ft^3 @ 28 Hz
