12W0 vs 12W1v2

First off i'm loving JL and no one can tell me differnt. I've had 3 10W0 in the hatch of my 89 Probe for over a year now. My dad and many others say it is one of the best they heard and my dad has been in to car audio for 25 years. What i need to know from anyone who has ever heard JL before is between JLs 12W0 and JLs 12W1v2, witch sound better to you.

I like JL as well, except the W0s. The W1v2 is in a whole different league than the W0s.

I disagree with helo on this one... My w0s not only got louder than my w1v2s, but sounded better doing it. AND, the w0 just looks a hell of a lot better IMO. The w1 "plastic" cone is a little tacky.

the W0 look better to me too, and i keep hearing they sound better as well but i've never heard the 12W0, i want to step up from my 3 10W0 to 3 or 4 12s that's why i'm asking.

I personally didn't like the 12w0. Maybe that's just me. I do like the old JL look better though. Nice and simple.

The 12W0s are out of production. If you care about a warranty, the W1v2 are your only choice.

or perhaps you can take a chance and step out of the JL world? nothing wrong with liking their stuff, but there is plenty of other great equipment out there...

All I know is that the JL12W1 holds more power, has a more powerful magnet, has more excursion, goes lower and is made MUCH better than the WO. Basically it replaced the WO and it was upgraded in every way.

The 12W0s are out of production. If you care about a warranty, the W1v2 are your only choice.

i don't care about warranty and i've found 12W0s for $109 ea.

I bought my W1 new in box for $120.00

I would go W1.....they hold more power, so you can upgrade your amp later if you desire to do so. They also have rubber surrounds. A much larger surround if I must say.

i strongly disagree, i had 2 12w0's for about 2 years running off of my opti 500.2 in my womans car so i decided to try the w1v2's out. i bought a pair from a dealer for 230$ put them in the w0 box and didnt change anything else, they only lasted for about a week so i took them back and got a refund. i would take a used w0 over a new w1v2 anyday.
