1200w rms on 4 AWG wire?

I know the limit on 4 AWG is generally 1000w rms, but 2 AWG is fairly expensive ($15 AUD per meter lol) so I'd like to know if I can get away with it on 4 AWG. It will be run at an impedance of 1.34 ohms and that's before box rise. Thoughts?

You should be fine, I run have run a ZED Minotaur (underrated) on 4gauge and it did great. Is it OFC or CCA? Also we sell mechmans 2gauge wire, $1.60 per ft.

almost 1400w rms is the most the amp can put out at 1.34 ohms i guess, but then i'd be overpowering the subs a bit

i have the big 3 done with 2 AWG btw.

length matter too, so if it's a shorter run you'll definitely be fine. if it's a longer run probably not. what brand of wire do you have and what's the length? what amp is it going too?

wire from hong kong or something lol, wire is expensive here, much cheaper overseas.

Amp is an APSM-1500 and the wire length I believe is 5 or 6 metres.

yeah, postage isnt cheap to australia, it depends on how much you want to get. But it would be somewhere between $45-$55 bucks.
