1200.1 with 2 dual 2ohm speakers?

i have a kicker 1200.1 amp and i need to run 2 dual 2ohm subs off of it how would i do that?

Your other options are a final nominal load of 8 Ohms (not wanted) or 1/2 of an Ohm which isn't particularly healthy for your amp.

would running them at 2 ohms like the diagram sound as good as if i had dual 4ohms ?

As I cannot recall at the moment is that KX1200.1 stable at 1 Ohm or is it rated to make 1200w @ 2 Ohms?

RMS Power: 600W x 1 @ 2 ohms

THD at 4-Ohm RMS Power: n/a

Bridged RMS Power: 1200W x 1 @ 1 ohm

Okay - the ZX1200.1 makes its biggest power @ 1 Ohm.

Now that we know this......with a pair of Dual 2 Ohm subs wired as above (since it is the only logical option) would give you 600w or 300w per sub.

With a pair of Dual 4 Ohm subs, however, wired parallel / parallel to make a 1 Ohm load you can get 1200w out of the amp or 600w per sub.

What subs are we talking about here?

Without knowing that I have no clue whether 300w or 600w into each one would be the better option...

i have a great offer for a set of dual 2's my original plan was to use dual 4's so i would for shure get 600 each

Hmm - I see that what kind of amp you're planning on using....but the only mention of the subs seen there is that they are Dual 2 Ohm voicecoil drivers ~ but not which brand or model.

As there are literally heaps of DVC 2 Ohm subs available you didn't give us much to go on there, didja??
