Well for the emotiva you can just go into the 3sixty.3 and lower the channel gain output to those rca's if need be
The 3sixty isn't full 8v out
It is up to 8v out with levels and eq up etc

Yeah I considered that but I want it to be as bulletproof as I can make it. God forbid I have a power surge and the 360 decides to reset software.
For $30 its worth it to me to have peace of mind that the max voltage ever seen by the amp will be 2v.

Otherwise it kinda feels getting a Walmart sub and hooking it up to a 3k amp and trying to limit it with the gain to 300w. You kinda can but you kinda can't, you know?
