12" Solo X and ZX2500.1 wiring help

I have a 12" Solo X and a Zx2500.1 amp and I am a bit confused on some of the wiring.

I have an 05 Ford five hundred with a stock alternator that runs 120 amps, Do I need more Power?

A) upgrade to a 220 amps alternator.

B) upgrade the big 3

C) Upgrade to a Kinetik HC 2000

D) Get a capacitor (which type)

Also, should I wire 1 SVC @ 2-ohm, 1 DVC @ 2-ohm, 1 SVC @ 4-ohm, or 1 DVC @ 4-ohm

I plan on using 0 guage wire throughout, which is the best type. Thanks for any help!

i would recommended a larger alt, a better battery and the big 3. None of that cap crap.

And i would imagine the solo x would be a D2 or D1...so i have no idea where youre getting svc 2 ohm at?

SoloX | KICKER

Well what is the point of buying subs unless you go big? I already have the zx2500.1 and the 12" solo x, which i got a great deal on. Also, I read that you could just upgrade the battery and big 3 and you could get enough power to the zx2500.1 even though it pushed over 2500W.

oh , i understand. I thought you were going out and buying the stuff. You could do way better for the price , but since its stuff you already have , whats the impeadance of the coils. look next to one of the terminals and see what ohms it says. i believe they are 2 ohm coils. If that is the case take both red terminals of the sub and connect them to positive speaker terminal on the amp , and take both black terminals on the sub and hook the to the negative speaker terminal on the amp.

and yes you will need an extra battery , 0 gauge cable , and the big 3 in 0 gauge at the least

And FYI , i meant big amp , not big speaker. this.........http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/21%22-Warden-Series.html is a big sub. LOL and it cost near what the kicker does

It was the smallest sub with the most power. I though most people would be surprised than one 12" pushes 5000W. Also, I don't think my setup could handle a 21" sub.

Can you explain how to hook up the second battery? Will I need a regular battery or a high currency one (Kinetik HC 2000) Also will I need capacitor for that battery?

meh, use rf.com and their woofer wiring thing, works wonderful.

i remember i was going to do 2 21 inch wardens, got one sick price for two brand new a year or so ago...

why are you thinking that a 12 that can handle 5k is the best? Im not saying the x is a bad sub, just that better can be had for cheaper. Do not even think of using a cap, never ever say that word again.

What 12" sub is better for cheaper? Can you explain how to hook up the second battery? Will I need a regular battery or a high currency one (Kinetik HC 2000) Also will I need capacitor for that battery?

Sorry for so many question, but I don't want to go and spend 500$ on the wrong parts.

80 percent of a "build" is the enclosure for the low end drivers (subs) in a spl application, or almost any application in my opinion. Im just saying that there are better drivers out there then the solo x in my opinion, and im sure many will agree. Examples are- DD 9512's, DC Level 5's, Nightshade's, and many others. And no, NO CAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do any square 12" hit harder, I always planed on getting square since they have more surface area. What type of batteries do I need Kinetik HC 1600, 1800, 2000, or 2400?
im not a fan of square subs...if they were that great, wouldnt everyone be running them?
