I would say RMS ratings and efficiency. Also in ported boxes sensitivity rises making a sub reach mechanical limits easier but, if you know what your doing either sub will work of that power. In my opinion I will chose the Mx for that power in a port.hey, tell me how it sounds (re mx) bc i was thinking about a 15" Fi Q with cooling option, but seeing that many people voted a 12" re mx MORE than a 15" Fi Q, im having my doubts now.
anyone want to explain why a 12" re mx would be a better choice than a 15" fi q?
good luck with your re mx, and thanks to anyone who helps me with my questions.
i made a review for an mx when i got mine april of 06making the box larger will help with lower notes, and make the box more efficient making the woofer need less power to move a certain amount. Also, i THINK higher freqencies roll off much sooner with a larger box
I would of defiantly voted for the MX also. JUst cuz I love the look, and they sound mmmm mm good:yumyum:
