Striking Accord
My review is based on bass. I have stock speakers and wasnt looking for the blending and was not concentrating on SQ much.
I decided to purchase this from a friend, brand new.
I mounted it on a 1.7 cu ft vented enclosure tuned to 30 hz.
Its is receiving 400 watts RMS.
I have a 2007 Altima sedan. Back seats up.
First Impression:
Its a heavy subwoofer and is well built. Its obvious that the SR can handle more than is rated 300 watts RMS. I didnt like the allen key terminals, I prefer the banana plug ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Song List:
3-6 Mafia - Late Night Tip
Twista - Ovadose
TI - (I Like My Beat) Down Low
DJ Tiesto - Ice Rain
Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood
Beastie Boys - Brass Monkey
Pink Floyd - Breathe
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
I played about 2 minutes of each song.
The bass goes down pretty low. Its lower (and louder) than the Type R. It also has a better response than the Alpine. It keeps up with Trance music (fast beats) pretty well. The bass is suprisingly overwhelming on the rap songs I played.
I think that the SE might be a more musical subwoofer. But as far as loudness, its rivals SE. I feel like the SE played the lows with more authority.
(I had the Type R and SE in the same enclosure and were given 400 watts)
I am very pleased with the subwoofer subwoofer. I dont really see anyhing wrong with it. I got the lows that i wanted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Great subwoofer! But the RE customer service is non-existant.
